Answer

Part of MALT: a. Tonsils c. Peyer’s patches

Work Step by Step

The tonsils are mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT), and therefore contain T cells, B cells, and macrophages. They have an important role in fighting infection, the first line of defense against pathogens entering through the nasopharynx or oropharynx. Peyer's patches, in the gut, is one of the main components of MALT, also it is important inductive tissue for the generation of mucosal immunity through the ingestion of antigen in the intestinal tracts.
