Answer

A matched-pair design attempts to make sure the groups used in an experiment are similar, by evaluating and placing similar (matched-pair) subjects in each group. A completely randomized design does not evaluate the subjects to determine which groups they are placed in, rather the assignment is random.

Work Step by Step

If the sample is large enough and there is true randomization, the groups in a completely randomized design will be similar.
