Work Step by Step

The basic sine curve is a periodic function which oscillates up and down. The function in the form of $y=Asin(\omega x+\phi)$ has a period of $p=\frac{2\pi}{\omega}$, an amplitude of $|A|$ and a phase shift of $-\frac{\phi}{\omega}$. The simpliest form $y=sin(x)$ gives $p=2\pi, A=1, \phi=0$.
