Answer

The store makes 37.50 (dollars) from the sales and is then refunded 25.00 dollars for the unsold items for a total of 62.50 (dollars).

Work Step by Step

The store purchases 200 containers of juice at a cost of 75 cents (0.75 in dollars) each to the store. Therefore, the store spends 150 dollars for the 200 containers of juice. The store sells 150 containers of the juice at 1.25 ( dollars) per container. This gives us the amount of money the store took in from sales of the juice. So the store took in 1.25 x 150 which equals 187.50 (dollars). The difference between these values is 37.50 (187.50 - 150.00). The store still had 50 containers of juice that the company will buy back at fifty cents (0.50) per container. This means the company refunds the store: 50 x 0.50 = 25 (dollars). The total of the profit on the 150 containers of juice sold plus the refunded amount of the 50 unsold containers of juice is 37.50 + 25.00 which gives us 62.50 that the store profits.
