Chapter 3 - Adding and Subtracting Fractions - 3.2 Least Common Multiples - 3.2 Exercises - Page 213: 54

Answer

450

Work Step by Step

The Least Common Multiple is the smallest number that is a multiple of all of the numbers listed. Remember, multiples of a number are all of the numbers that the number can be multiplied by a whole number to get that number. We find all of the prime factorizations: $$ 5: 5 \\ 25: 5\cdot 5 \\ 18: 2\cdot 3\cdot 3 \\ 30: 2 \cdot 3\cdot 5$$ Thus, the least common multiple is: $$ 5\cdot 5 \cdot 2 \cdot 3 \cdot 3 \\ 450$$
