Horizontal translate of $f(x)=|x|$ by $6$ units to the left

$g(x)=|x+h|$ is obtained by the horizontal translate of $f(x)=|x|$ $h$ units to the left if $h>0$ or $|h|$ units to the right if $h<0$.. Therefore $q(x)=|x+6|$ is obtained by the horizontal translate of $f(x)=|x|$ six units to the left.
