the answer is C = $\frac{1}{2}$n + 8 because the question states that C equals 8 more than the half of n. So to write the function you would multiply n by $\frac{1}{2}$ because it is asking half of n which is $\frac{1}{2}$n. Also you have to add 8 to $\frac{1}{2}$n because y is 8 more than half of n..
