Answer

the ordered pairs do not make a linear function

Work Step by Step

The relationship is not a function because the ordered pair in the graph do not make a straight line. Also, the points (0,-1) and (1,0) make the equation y=1x -1. Slope= $\frac{(0-(-1))}{(1-0)}$ $\frac{(0+1)}{(1+0)}$ $\frac{1}{1}$ Slope=1 Y-int is found in the ordered pair (0,-1) and that makes the equation y=1x-1 To prove that the ordered pairs make a linear function, we can check are answer by using LS=RS and plugging in the coordinates into the equation. (Start by plugging in (4,4) in the equation) LS=RS y=1x-1 4=1(4)-1 4=4-1 4=3 LS does not equal RS, therefore the ordered pairs do not make a linear function.
