The first step is to rearrange the equation in y=mx+b form Eqn: y=-x+3 To graph, you start by plotting the y-intercept which is the b-value. You plot the point (0,3) and then look at the slop. In this equation the slop is 1 and it is negative and since slope is rise over run, you go down 1 unit and right 1.
