Chapter 3 - Solving Inequalities - 3-8 Unions and Intersections of Sets - Lesson Check - Page 218: 6

Answer

A∪B will contain more, or at least as many members, as A∩B.

Work Step by Step

Because the union of two sets contains all the members of either set, while the intersection contains only those members the two sets have in common, the union will have more members. If the two sets have exactly the same members, the union and intersection will have the same number of members.
