Why is Tom disguising himself as Ben?
Tom is angry because his sister was killed by the people who are part of the party that Meg and Minnie are attending on the island. Tom has disguised himself as Bento for revenge and kill all those people who brutally murdered his sister. Tom starts by killing Ben and assuming his identity and then moves to the party to kill those in attendance secretly. It is later discovered that Tom is the real killer of all those people that turned up dead.

What is the significance of the book ‘Ten’ by McNeil?
The book 'Ten' is a fictional edition portraying the horrific realities that youth encounter during their discoveries. The death of the party attendees on the island is more of a horror movie because the characters do not understand what is killing them. The majority of the characters are youth, and during their adolescent stage and what they are doing, they explore and experience everything around them. For instance, Meg and her friend Minnie explore their sexuality, and they have crushes on TJ and Ben, respectively.

What is the irony of the island party?
Meg and her friend Minnie are excited because they have attended a decadent party on the island. These two teens expect that the party is going to be the best thing ever in their lives. Besides, Meg is looking forward to meeting her crush, TJ. Minnie is also hopeful that she might get a crush of her type. However, the party turns out to be tragic because it involves mystery murders. The party never takes place, and it is filled with horror.
