    Why is Tess jealous of Simone?

    Tess falls in love with Jake, and they start living together as a couple. Simone raised Jake from the teenage years. However, Tess still is not convinced that nothing is going on between Jake and Simone. Tess thinks that the two are having a sexual affair behind her back. When Tess realizes that the restaurant, they are working for is offering Jake and Simone a free vacation to France, she becomes extremely jealous. Tess drinks alcohol and decides to confront Tess and Simone, but they overlook her because she is drunk.

    Why do women in this portrayal use sex as a weapon against men to get what they want?

    After Tess realizes that Jake and Simone have gone to France, she decides to lure her manager into having sex with him to get a promotion. The boss falls into temptation and sleeps with Tess. Danler uses Tess to expose the susceptibility of men when it comes to sex. Men are weaker, and they quickly fall into temptation, and that is why women use sex to get what they want. Tess offers free sex to her manager in exchange for a job promotion.

    Should the reader judge Tess's behavior?

    Outwardly, the author portrays Tess as an immoral woman who wants to experiment with everything in her life. Tess involves herself in drinking alcohol and having irresponsible sex to gain promotion at work. However, the reader is keen to analyze that Tess is getting honest and mature with time. Consequently, out of her experimental life, Tess has matured, and she knows what she wants in life. Therefore, the reader is not justified to judge Tess because no individual is perfect, and we all learn through our mistakes.
