The speaker in “The Garden” was a co-owner of “the two cats.” The speaker recommended the proposal of transferring one of the cats to another person to diminish the cats’ systematic scuffles.

A Young Man- “Fragment of Ancient Skull”

The subject in “Fragment of Ancient Skull” is a young lad who was not enthusiastic about volunteering in war. As a result of his refusal, he was slain cold-bloodedly. Eventually, entomologists came across his skull and transferred it to a museum.

The Speaker: “Crossing the River”

The speaker is progressing with translating Domingo Alfonso’s “Crossing the River” at night when he is preoccupied by thoughts as regards his demise or the death of his partner (Mary).
