Spare Irony

The media

After the death of his mother Princess Diana, Harry was left heartbroken. But the media, whose mission is to report the news but not sensationalize it, did the opposite in a cynical effort to earn additional money. They sensationalized Princess Diana's death, working directly against their mission of providing the straight facts about things that happen.

Meghan's laughing gas

During the birth of one of Harry and Meghan's children, Harry took the laughing gas meant for Meghan to ease her pain. When Meghan was in tremendous pain, she didn't have something which would ease her pain because of Harry's selfishness, something which is unexpected in what the two claim to be a selfless and loving marriage.

Harry's father

Despite the fact that Charles very clearly fathered Prince Harry, rumors abounded that Charles was not Prince Harry's father. This paradox illuminates the lengths to which the media will go to earn more viewers and more money.

Family

Prince Harry's family claimed to be supportive, but according to Harry were anything but. Their public position, in other words, was supportive; their private position, in other words, was one of scorn and contempt for Harry and his wife. This is ironic because most healthy families, as Harry's family claimed to be, support their loved ones. Unexpectedly, even though they claimed to support Harry and his new wife publicly, Harry's family doesn't support them.

Harry's Nazi outfit

One Halloween, Harry wore a costume of a Nazi officer, apparently at the insistence of his brother William and his girlfriend Catherine. That costume, which generated quite a bit of controversy, was ironic because of Harry's long-standing record of standing up to tyrannical, evil, and dictatorial governments. Rather than wearing a normal costume, Harry wore a Nazi outfit—which works against Harry’s stated values.
