Relating to various issues dealing with identity confusion stemming from a self-recognition of one's gender that does not conform or conforms in ambiguous ways to conventional views and roles.

The sudden manifestation of a shocking truth.

unconscious

Something done or expressed or existing without being rationally aware of it.

tranvestite

An outdated term mostly preserved for men who enjoy dressing in clothing usually reserved in public for women that is now considered insulting.

cross-dressing

The preferred contemporary term for what used to be designated as transvestism.

transitioning

The process changing one's external gender to correspond with the gender they truly are rather than the gender they were misassigned at birth.

Some too preposterous or ridiculous to believe is possible.

To undermine a figure or system of authority and power.

hormones

Organic substance produced in organism and transported through fluids which can influence behavior and mood according to sex.

androgyny

Appearing to be either a combination of both male and female or to possess neither feminine nor masculine traits.

Tiresias

The blind soothsayer well-known to students for propesying the fate of Oedipus, but far less well known as for being transformed into a woman for seven years, thus becoming a mythic figure of androgyny.

pseudonym

A pen name; a name lot legally recognized for the purpose of reserving privacy or maintaining anonymity.

repercussions

The long-term consequences and ramifications of an action.

accentuate

To make something more prominent and noticeable.

begrudgingly

Enviously.

dysphoria

Unease or generalized dissatisfaction.

providence

Fortune arriving by the grace of God.

bereavement

A period of mourning and grieving.
