The Imagery of Jiang’s father
Jiang expounds, “My Father was a stage actor, six feet tall and slightly stoop shouldered. Because of his height and his serious face he usually played the villain at the children’s theatre where he worked. He was the vicious landlord, the foolish king. But at home he was our humorous, kind, and wise Dad. He loved reading , and he loved including the whole family in his discoveries.” Jiang’s father is a proficient based on how he exploits his looks during acting. Furthermore, he is a prototypical father who guides his household extraordinarily for he manages to separate his parenting and professional domains.
The Imagery of “Jiang’s Salon”
Jiang recalls, “Sometimes on Saturday evenings some of Dad’s colleagues would visit. They called these gatherings’ Jiang’s salon. ‘I did not know what salon meant, but I loved them; they were wonderful parties. Mom would make her famous beef soup, and Grandma would make her steamed buns.” The gatherings portray an unified community whose links transcend the workplace connections. Accordingly, Jiang’s father’s associates who visit their home are more than coworkers .The parties satisfy the desire for belonging to all the attendants.
