what is the plot of the story?

Amelia, Timber, Dick, and Digger are four homeless friends featured in the book of Ragged Company by Richard Wagamese. The four are used to living in the streets. A cold snap descends on the city, and the four are forced to seek refuge in a movie theatre. As luck would have it, Digger wins a lottery jackpot worth 13.2 million dollars. However, he decides to share the amount with the rest of his friends. The tussle ensues, and they are stopped from claiming the prize due to a lack of identification cards. Granite offers to help them, and finally, they are given the award. The prize changes their lives completely.
