This phallic sexuality also portrays him as powerful, which is consistent with typical gender roles of the time period. This powerful sexuality links to Frank’s character in Rocky Horror, as his composure is demonstrated through his variety of outfit changes, which serve as an addition to the sexual charisma that makes his character so compelling. The captivation of these outfits is credited to Sue Blane, who designed them. This is particularly evident in the outfits for the Floor Show. The single vibrant ruffle on the right arm draws attention away from the symmetry, which is symbolic of the perfection that Frank strives for.
