    Objective:

    To engage with Wright's work as a protest novel, and engage with an examination of events depicted and compare them with the law.

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RI.11-12.7, CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.11-12.1

    Structure:

    Be warned that this activity examines and discusses a traumatic series of events: the bombing of the Boston marathon, and the subsequent manhunt for the perpetrators.
