In Chapter 7, why does Lila not want to study Latin with Elena anymore?

Lila studies with Elena over the summer after she fails. Indeed, it seems like Lila is teaching Elena rather than simply studying with her. It's only when Elena will have her own teacher and lesson plans at school that Lila claims to no longer be interested. Lila says she'll continue to learn and only come to Elena if she has questions.
