How is Thomas's interactions with the Chorus different than the Priests' in Part I of the play?

The Priests and Thomas Becket have notably different ways of engaging with the Chorus, which is made up of the poor and common women of Canterbury who are presumably parishioners at the cathedral and (former) followers of Thomas Becket.
