Midnight in Paris Cast List

Midnight in Paris Cast List

Owen Wilson

The middle brother in a trio of actors - older brother Andrew and younger brother Luke are also amongst Hollywood's so-called "frat pack" stars - Wilson is a man who likes to forge long and positive partnerships with the people he works with. He came to prominence working with long time collaborator Wes Anderson on the screenplay of the Oscar winning movie The Royal Tennenbaums, but he had already made his big-screen debut on an Anderson movie, Bottle Rocket, which in turn brought him to the attention of Ben Stiller, with whom he ended up working an impressive twelve times.

It was whilst working on Zoolander with Stiller, and another repeat collaborator, Will Ferrell, that he came to the attention of Gene Hackman, who recommended him for the 2001 action movie Behind Enemy Lines. However, it is for his comedy roles that he has become best known; Wedding Crashers, which saw Wilson starring opposite Vince Vaughan, and Rachel McAdams - his co-star in Midnight In Paris. Wedding Crashers - which also saw Wilson reunited with Will Ferrell - was a box office smash and grossed over two hundred million dollars in this country alone.

Wilson's films have grossed more than $2.25 billion domestically, making him one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood.

Rachel McAdams

Canadian McAdams worked mostly in domestic television series until her break-out performance in the cult teen movie Mean Girls, where she uttered the iconic line "on Wednesdays we wear pink". She followed this up with the romantic drama The Notebook, adapted from Nicholas' Sparks bestselling novel, before working with Owen Wilson for the first time on the international hit comedy Wedding Crashers. This all contributed to her BAFTA Award nomination for Best Rising Star in 2006.

McAdams is the latest star to sign on to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing Christine Palmer in the superhero movie Dr Strange.

Away from the camera, McAdams is an avid environmentalist, and does not own a car in her native Toronto, choosing instead to bike everywhere.

Kurt Fuller

Fuller is known for his role of the nerdiest television director on the planet in Wayne's World, but the predominance of his work has been on popular television series such as Knightrider, L.A. Law, Ally McBeal and Glee. His most current incarnation has been as C.I.A. director Grayden Osborne in the ABC network drama series Scandal, which stars Kerry Washington.

Michael Sheen

Better known as a stage actor, Sheen met future partner Rachel McAdams on the set of Midnight In Paris, having been recognized as the other half of actress Kate Beckinsale for most of the previous decade. His most successful small-screen role has been his BAFTA nominated portrayal of British Prime Minister Tony Blair in the made for television movie The Deal.

Carla Bruni

Previously known as Mick Jagger's girlfriend, and currently the wife of the former President of France - making her Mary Kate Olsen's sister in law - Bruni is a successful model and actress who also won a number of awards in France for her music. During her career she has sold five million albums but is best known for being the face and the body of Guess Jeans.

Mimi Kennedy

Writer and actress Kennedy is best known for her role in popular nineties sitcom Dharma and Greg and for her Critics' Choice Award nominated role on the current hit comedy Mom. Although she has primarily worked in television, she has appeared on a number of successful films including Erin Brockovich and Midnight in Paris.

Tom Hiddleston

If you recognize Hiddleston as one of Taylor Swift's boyfriends, you would not be alone; the English actor, largely unfamiliar to American audiences, was catapulted into the popular culture stratosphere after being photographed walking hand in hand with the biggest selling performer in the world. Before he became a celebrity, Hiddleston was a stage actor who trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and a nominee for the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award.

He became a bona fide screen star after he was cast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Thor in 2011, the same year that he starred in Midnight In Paris, War Horse and The Deep Blue Sea - no wonder he received a BAFTA Rising Star Award nomination. In 2016, Hiddleston won his first Golden Globe Award for his performance in the mini-series The Night Manager.

Kathy Bates

Bates is not just an actress, she is an American institution, an actress known both for her comedy performances and her serious acting roles. She began her career on Broadway, nominated for a Tony Award in the Best Leading Actress In A Play category in 1983 for her performance in 'night Mother.

Bates' became a Hollywood star when she starred in the psychological horror movie Misery, adapted from the Stephen King novel of the same name. For her portrayal of sociopathic super-fan Annie Wilkes she was awarded both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award in the Best Actress category. She appeared in a second Stephen King adaptation, Dolores Claiborne, two years later. She also appeared in James Cameron's Titanic where she portrayed one of the few characters in the film actually based on a real-life passenger of the ill-fated vessel.

Two more Oscar nominations followed, for Primary Colors and About Schmidt respectively.

In 2019 she joined the cast of the Netflix movie The Highwaymen, based on the life of politician Miriam A. Ferguson.
