Divorce

Charlie and Nicole are a couple falling out of love with each other. Nicole doesn't want to live with Charlie anymore and wants a divorce. They decide to separate amicably, but after experiencing a nasty fight during the court hearing open their eyes. A few more arguments make it clear that nothing can mend their relationship. The separation helps them understand self-love and form a new bond with each other.

Communication Issue

Charlie and Nicole decide to get help from a counselor to save their marriage. The counselor asks them to write each other's traits and read them loudly. They find it too awkward to continue the counseling. Nicole knows they're just dragging their marriage for Henry. Charlie thinks she doesn't care about the family and is not an ideal wife. According to Nicole, Charlie doesn't care about her wishes and doubts her capability. The lack of communication leads to the lack of emotional intimacy between them.

Emotional Healing

The emotional bond between Nicole and Charlie is lost. They both are trying to work their marriage, but nothing seems to work. After getting a big break in a show, Nicole wants to move to California. Charlie doesn't like the idea and refuses to go with her. In her opinion, Charlie always doubts her capability, and her success doesn't mean anything to him.

The arguments and blaming each-other help them to realize their true feelings. Charlie never realizes the role of his wife in his life until he gets a divorce. Nicole always supports him and takes care of his needs. He gradually senses his non-existent place in his wife's life. Nicole loves Charlie, but his affair breaks her heart. After suffering a series of painful incidents, both decide to walk on the path of emotional healing.
