Structure:
While he is attracted to Renee, Gallimard is ultimately turned off by Renee’s lack of inhibition and her comfort with her body and sexuality. Ask students to find the passage where Gallimard interacts with Renee and ask for two volunteers to act out this portion of the text.
Ask students of Gallimard’s criticism of Renee reminds them of anything women deal with in our present society. You should bring up the prominence of slut-shaming, or criticizing women for dressing too...
