The herd of deer
The next day during the vacation, Rose sees a herd of dozen deer outside, moving in several directions. The author creates the image of deer's migration using sensory imagery when insisting that they are thousands, but rose could not be in a position to count them. The imagery shows that Amanda and Clay chose a wonderful vacation site where children can enjoy the natural environment and see wild animals for fun.
The Rented Airbnb
The author creates a visionary image of the rental vacation; he describes the house's pool, furniture, and electronic equipment. The house has power, but there is no internet because of the blackout experienced by the network supplier. The house has an in-law unit in the basement equipped with amenities. Therefore, the narrator paints a clear picture of the rental Airbnb to show readers its luxurious composition.
The thunderous noise
When Rose and Archie go into the woods to explore what is there, they see a shack house, but no one lives inside. Shortly after seeing the shack house, a thunderous noise is heard, and they become very scared. The thunder is so loud and trembling that it causes the glass on the windows and doors to break. The deer are also scared and seen running in all directions. Consequently, the author’s description of the thunderous noise depicts hearing imagery to readers.
