Written by Susan Fraser King, Lady Macbeth (published in 2008) tells a story of a woman who is a grandchild to a king, a daughter to a prince and to a queen. She has fought in an arena two times and has a kid. Married to a powerful lord, she is forced to bear a child and live with her previous husband's murderer. When Lady Gruadh realizes that she is being hunted by Vikings, Saxons, and treacherous Scottish lords. Lady Gruadh soon starts to respect the one man she despises.
When it was released, Lady Macbeth received incredibly positive reviews. One reviewer from publishers weekly said that this story was"Historical romance novelist King leaps into deeper historical waters with this captivating take on Lady Macbeth, who tells her side of the story with a forceful, uncompromising daring." Another reviewer said that the book was "Wonderful, intriguing, thoughtful, and mesmerizing." Although Lady Macbeth is based on the William Shakespeare's play called Macbeth, it would certainly be reasonable to say that it has taken on an identity of its own.
