My Father and I

Objective:

Students will write an imagined scene between two characters.

Structure:

For this activity, students will write a brief scene between the narrator and his father. The final product need not be particularly long—perhaps one or two double-spaced pages—but it should attempt to convey the same sentiment and tone that Soseki himself uses in his own writing.
