Will Salas

The main character of the movie, Will lives in Dayton, the poor manufacturing area in Ohio where people don't have a lot of time. He becomes rich when a man named Henry Hamilton from the wealthy part of Ohio gives him 116 years of time. Will uses this time to travel to the wealthy part of Ohio where he meets Sylvia Weis. The two are attracted to each other and Will convinces Sylvia that the system her family exploits is wrong. The two rob her father's bank and distribute the time to the poor. Will is determined, strong, and has a good sense of right and wrong.

Sylvia Weis

The daughter of Philippe Weis, a time loaning business man. Sylvia lives in New Greenwich, the rich part of Ohio where people have so much time they are basically immortal. She meets Will when he comes to New Greenwich and becomes attracted to him. After initially being hostile when he kidnaps her, Sylvia realizes that the system her neighborhood profits from is morally wrong and helps Will steal time to set things right.

Philippe Weis

A time loaning business man, Philippe has so much time to be practically immortal. He is suspicious of Will and very greedy. He will do anything to protect his way of life and values his money over his daughter.

Borel

Will's best friend from Dayton. Borel is not used to having a lot of time and is thrilled when Will gives him ten years after inheriting from Hamilton. However, Borel drinks himself to death with this time, not used to having so much to spend and over-indulging.

Henry Hamilton

A rich man dissatisfied with the system that gave him his wealth. Hamilton travels to Dayton where Will saves him from a gang of time-stealing thugs. He sees Will as a good-hearted, worthy person and gives him his time before committing suicide.
