Thomas C. Foster served at the University of Michigan, Flint for nearly 30 years, teaching courses on literature and writing as Professor of English. He was instrumental in establishing the English Department’s Master of English Language and Literature Program and served as the program’s first director from 2005-2012. Foster retired from active faculty status in 2014 and was named Professor Emeritus of English.
