"Yeshua Will Provide": Exposing Corruption in 'Honor Thy Father' Anonymous 12th Grade

Honor Thy Father is a 2015 film by Eric Matti that tackles religion, morality, and family. It centers on Edgar whose family is involved in a Ponzi scheme primarily because of Kate, his wife. They lose everything because of this, especially their peaceful life. The victims of the scheme threatened them, even going into the extent of killing people along the way. It reflected the current atmosphere of our society, where hypocrisy is very severe specifically inside a religious institution. There are many religious people; however, only few truly live out the teachings of their church. The film displayed how the beliefs of an individual tend to overshadow his or her rationality in making decisions. As such, watching Honor Thy Father is very similar to witnessing everyday occurrences in the society with the naked eye.
