Rodney and Emily Harris have a seemingly perfect life: tenured professorships, a nice house, and a supportive group of friends and family. However, beneath that glitz and glamor, they have a secret: they want eternal life. And to obtain it, they ironically do everything which makes people eternally young, like their jobs and friends and family.

COVID-19, the disease that caused vast swaths of people to lock down and isolate themselves from each other, was responsible for Penny Dahl and her community growing closer together.
Bonnie
Although Bonnie is young, her blood doesn't hold some sort of magical power—and the Harris' know that in their heart. Still, they continued to enact their evil plans, ironically ignoring what was right in front of them.
The Harris' home
On the surface, the Harris' home appears to be luxurious, warm, and filled with love. However, ironically, it is anything but. It is filled with filth, coldness, and hatred.
