Great Circle Irony

Great Circle Irony

The paradox of the similarity between Mariam and Hadley

The reader finds it entirely enigmatic that women from one century apart can have a lot in common. On the contrary, the reality is shocking when the reader notes that Hadley and Mariam lives a century apart, but they share similar passions and determination. For instance, Mariam is passionate about flying while Hadley is passionate about becoming a star in Hollywood. Interestingly, Hadley is given a role in a movie to act as Mariam, which motivates her to work relentlessly until she achieves her dream.

The irony of Mariam’s financier

The man who presented himself as a financial to aid Mariam to attain her dream of flying is a paradoxical character. At the back of his mind, the man knew that his primary motivation was not to help but use Mariam for his selfish gains. Unfortunately, the man achieved his dark goals despite helping Mariam fulfil her life dream of flying.

Mariam’s life as a satire

Mariam’s life story is entirely paradoxical. A girl growing up in the early 20th century is fond of flying even without having a role model in the same industry that she is attracted to. When Mariam promised herself that she would fly, nothing could stop her; even her parents could do nothing about it. Subsequently, Mariam beat all odds in her life to achieve her dream of flying.

The irony of flying

Mariam is a satirical character from her childhood. Mariam’s passion is to fly, and she hopes that she will enjoy her calling one day. When Mariam sees biplanes in the skies of Montana, she gets more encouraged, and she even she stops going to school to pursue her dream. Ironically, when Mariam flew from the north to the south in 1950, she went missing and was never found.
