“Ah-ah, but what kind of question is that, Your Excellency?! They’re your subjects ka, every one of them! Don’t you know you rule this land, of this Jidada, and that what your subjects want is to hear you speak? Today is Independence Day, Baba; we're here, all of us celebrating your freedom, the freedom you sacrificed your life for in the long war of liberation that you your very self pioneered to its victoriousness end those many years ago, which means, in essence, we’re here celebrating you!”

The Donkey, aka Dr. Sweet Mother

The Old Horse is aging, and his strength is vanishing. Unlike his early days when he was strong and could move at lightning speed, Old Horse now falls asleep while attending public meetings. Old Horse symbolizes impunity and greediness; despite having no energy to run the country, he still wants to continue clinging to power. The donkey symbolizes the people around the president who wants Old Horse to continue clinching to power for their selfish gains. For instance, they remind him that he is a freedom fighter and must rule until he dies. Every moment Old Horse sleeps while in a public meeting, he wakes up confused, and sometimes, he asks his aids what is happening.

"To begin with, I know there are some among you who are thoroughly shocked once again to see me and, as such, may be wondering what I am doing up here because, as you all heard, I died once more last week!"

Old Horse

Incumbency in the continent has become a norm, and leaders want to hold on until they die. Whenever Old Horse disappears from the eyes of the public, rumors spread like fire that he is no more. The death accusations directed at his Excellency show that people are tired of him and wish him dead. Old Horse's health is worsening daily due to his old age. Since Jidda has no best hospital for his Excellency, he often flies outside the country to get the best medical care abroad. The mediocrity of the continent's leaders is that they loot resources and forget to set up health infrastructure where they can be treated when ill.

“Bring Back Jidda’s Disappeared! Bring back Jidada’s Disappeared! Bring back Jidada’s Disappeared!”

Animals of Jidada

The frustration of the animals of Jidada cannot be hidden any longer. Life is becoming unbearable because the economy is crumbling before their eyes. The majority of the citizens live below the poverty line, and they cannot afford basic commodities. The currency's value has devalued greatly, and there is no hope. The only option for the animals is to protest and raise their voices. Unfortunately, their voices are silenced by the brutal law enforcement agencies serving the dictatorial regime. The animals are afraid for their lives, and their voices start vanishing.
