The paradox of society
Society is largely patriarchal despite the continued education on gender equality and acceptance. Men are tailored to believe that they are superior in all aspects to women, and women are made to believe that they are inferior. However, the author argues that all genders are equal and should be treated with decorum. Paradoxically, society has a way of discriminating against women who are masculine and transgender.
The strength of masculine women
Masculinity in women should be treated as an advantage because they are energetic and can contribute positively to the development of the economy. Ironically, the masculine women are painted as outcasts who should not mingle with ordinary women.
Tomboys
While growing up, masculine girls are celebrated as tomboys by the male circle around them. Ironically, when masculine girls become adults, they are given nasty names, making them feel unwanted in society. The masculine girls should be treated with the utmost respect masculinity in girls is not a weakness or defect.
