Study Objectives

If all of the elements of this lesson plan are employed, students will develop the following powers, skills, and understanding:

    Students will participate in discussions, complete written assignments, and conduct research to examine the role of Glück's life in Faithful and Virtuous Night, as well as the connection of an artist's life to their work in general. This examination will include reflecting on the impact of an artist's (particularly a living artist's) acknowledgement or neglect of race and racism in their work.
