Structure:

Dune is a novel full of names and concepts invented by the author. Although there is a glossary in the back, students may find it helpful to have the important vocabulary written down for themselves. The entire class will come to an agreement on the definitions of the following terms:

1. Arrakis
2. Bene Gesserit
3. Fremen
4. gom jabbar
5. Kwisatz Haderach
6. spice melange
7. Muad'Dib
