Structure:
One of the distinctive and experimental aspects of Don't Let Me Be Lonely is Rankine's use of images alongside the text. Begin the activity by having students flip back through the sections they have read and consider Rankine's use of images. After they have had a few minutes to review, ask the following questions in group discussion:
