Tightrope
We watch as Johnny takes Baby out onto a fallen tree log to practice their routine. This imagery show us that Johnny is inventive in utilizing what is around him in order to grow what he wants. He's not a man that needs all of the fancy new gadgets, but instead welcomes the silence and challenge of nature far away from the crowds so that when he's on stage in front of them he knows how to be at peace and focused.
Dirty Dance Party
We see Baby carrying watermelon's into a party for the resort staff. She stops cold in her tracks and stares with a look of fear and enjoyment as she sees everyone dancing so sexually. The imagery is Baby's, a "good girl" who loves her parents, introduction into the world of dirty dancing and it's expressiveness. Something she's clearly not used to, and the imagery reveals this.
Final Dance
We watch Baby and Johnny perform their dance routine in front of the entire resort crowd at the end of the film. Baby's in the spotlight and dancing full alive with Johnny. She's changed from a sheltered girl into an expressively vibrant young woman. And the imagery of her and Johnny dancing together shares this with the rest of the world, it is her coming out party.
Don't Step on the One
Johnny is teaching Baby to dance so they can compete in the dance competition together. We see her white keds step onto his black dance shoes as she's learning. The imagery shows us that Johnny has a lot of work ahead of him as Baby doesn't have the skill he does. It also reveals the conflict that will arise between them as she is an amateur and he's a pro.
