Objective:

Students will write a journal entry from the perspective of one of the novel's characters that responds to the day's reading.

Structure:

For this activity, students will be asked to write a journal entry from a major character's perspective. These journal entries should respond to the immediate events of the day's reading and reflect how the character feels about those events.

Journal entries should be between one and two pages, double-spaced, or 400-500 words.
