Vacation Journal, Part 4
Kind of Activity:
Long-term Project
Objective:
Students will write a response to the major events of today's reading.
Common Core Standards:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.1
Structure:
Students will continue the journaling project. Today, they will react to the Tarot Witch saga, Mr. Jonas as a character, Doug's existential illness, Grandma's cooking, and give their final thoughts on the novel as a whole.
Ideas for Differentiated Instruction:
- These journals may be handwritten or typed on an online journaling website like LiveJournal, or even a Google Doc.
- Be sure to remind students that there is no correct way to form these journal entries....
