Don Cheadle
Aside from starring in Crash, Cheadle teamed up with Haggis to co-produce the film. For his performance, he was nominated for both the BAFTA and the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards in the category of Best Supporting Actor. Cheadle is known for his numerous collaborations with Director Steven Soderbergh, including Out of Sight (1998), Traffic (2000), and Ocean’s Eleven (2001). He has also ventured into writing and directing. In 2015, he co-wrote, directed, and starred in Miles Ahead, which is based on the life of celebrated jazz musician Miles Davis.
Jennifer Esposito
Esposito made her first television appearance in 1996 in Law & Order. Since then, she has been cast in numerous television series, including Spin City, Samantha Who?, Blue Bloods, and Mistresses. From 2016 to 2017, Esposito appeared on NCIS as Special Agent Alexandra Quinn. Aside from Crash, she has played roles in other feature films, among them Summer of Sam, Don’t Say a Word, and Welcome to Hollywood. Though she played a Latina character in Crash, Esposito is actually of Italian heritage.
Sandra Bullock
Bullock was praised for her performance in Crash, with many critics suggesting it is one of the best performances of her career. In addition to being an actress, Bullock is also a famed producer and philanthropist. She was awarded the Academy Award for Best Actress and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama for her performance in The Blind Side (2009). In 2014, Bullock was nominated in the same categories for her performance in Gravity. In 2007, she was named as one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses. She is the founder of Fortis Films, a production company that has produced films such as Two Weeks Notice and All About Steve. She was also an executive producer on The George Lopez Show. Her greatest commercial success has been Minions, which has grossed over $1 billion in box office sales.
Brandon Fraser
Fraser is a Canadian-American actor. He has appeared in films such as Encino Man (1992), Bedazzled (2000), and Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008). He later took time off from film acting to transition to television. Since 2015, he has appeared in series such as Texas Rising and The Affair. Since 2018, he has taken a supporting role in the FX anthology series, Trust.
Matt Dillon
At just the tender age of fifteen, Dillon made his film debut in Over the Edge. His later appearances in My Bodyguard, Little Darlings, and Rumble Fish established him as an American teen idol. For his performance in Crash, he earned an Independent Spirit Award and was nominated for both a Golden Globe and the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Dillon has also taken on directing, and he was praised for his directorial debut with City of Ghosts (2002). He has also been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for his narration of Jack Kerouac’s On The Road.
Ryan Phillippe
Ryan Phillippe first gained fame for his role as Billy Douglas on the soap opera One Life to Live. In the late 1990s and early 200s, he appeared in numerous feature films, including I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cruel Intentions, and Gosford Park. Phillippe later returned to television in 2011 with his critically acclaimed role in Damages. He has most recently appeared in Shooter, a series which airs on USA network.
Terrence Howard
Howard earned his first major film roles in 1995 with the releases of Dead Presidents and Mr. Holland’s Opus. Between 2004 and 2006, Howard catapulted to fame with his Academy Award nomination for his role in Hustle & Flow. He has also garnered attention for his roles in films such as Winnie, Ray, and Four Brothers. He has appeared in numerous videos for artists such as Ashanti and Mary J. Blige. Following his initial commercial success, Howard ventured into singing. In 2008, he both released his debut album and appeared in his first Broadway production. Since 2015, he has starred in the critically-acclaimed Fox television series, Empire. He later reunited with Crash co-star Matt Dillon for the Fox series Wayward Pines.
Thandie Newton
Thandie Newton is an English actress. Newton received the BAFTA award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in Crash. Before Crash, she appeared as the title character in Beloved and as Tom Cruise's co-star in Mission: Impossible 2. In 2016, she garnered critical acclaim for her role as Maeve Millay in Westworld.
Ludacris
Ludacris, born Christopher Brian Bridges, is a celebrated American actor and rapper. For his success in different industries, he has won Screen Actors Guild, Critic’s Choice, MTV, and Grammy Awards. Crash marked one of Ludacris’s first film appearances outside of the Fast and Furious series. He has since appeared in Gamer (2009) and New Year’s Eve (2011). Since his appearance in Haggis’s film, he has collaborated with Crash co-star Terrence Howard in an episode of the acclaimed television series Empire.
Larenz Tate
Larenz Tate first appeared in numerous television series, including regular roles in 21 Jump Street and The Wonder Years. He later transitioned into film, appearing in Albert and Allen Hughes’s Menace II Society and The Inkwell (1994). Like Crash co-star Terrence Howard, Tate has also had a role in Ray (2004) and an Ashanti music video.
Michael Peña
Despite his minor roles in various independent productions, Peña gained fame for his appearances in two Best-Picture Oscar-winning films written by Haggis—Million Dollar Baby and Crash. For Crash, Peña was nominated for the ALMA Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture. He also had roles in Oliver Stone’s World Trade Center and Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Babel. In the 2018 remake of A Wrinkle In Time, Peña played the role of the film’s main antagonist, Red.

Sanchez was only eight years old during the release of Crash. Since then, she has appeared in various minor roles in both film and television productions.
Shaun Toub
Toub is an Iranian-American actor. Toub has made appearances in over one hundred television episodes, including supporting roles in Seinfeld, The Sopranos, and ER. He is best known for his role as Yinsen in the 2008 production of Iron Man. He is also known for his roles in The Kite Runner and Homeland.
Saba Soomekh
Saba Soomekh moved from Tehran, Iran to Los Angeles to escape the Iranian Revolution. Crash was her breakthrough role, and, following her success, she appeared in Saw III and Just like a Woman.
