Gender Equality
In this book, Jeffrey Rosen speaks to Justice Ginsburg about her life and achievements. This includes her incredible achievements for gender equality and her challenging of the underlying gender assumptions in the law. For example, Ginsburg co-founded the Women's Rights Project, in an attempt to challenge certain laws that hindered women in America.
Opera
Opera is a key theme in this text and is something Ginsburg and Rosen bonded over. They discovered their mutual love for opera after Rosen was trying to make conversation and asked if she had seen any productions recently. This started off a great friendship between the two, which resulted in the conversations found in this book.
Cases
In this book, Ginsburg and Rosen discuss Ruth's various significant cases in her career. These are described as being her "landmark cases" and include Ginsburg's first Supreme Court case Reed v. Reed.
