On Day 1, students will use the Internet to find where the town of Ilium, New York may be located (near Schenectady), and then plan a trip from New York City and back. They will also use social mapping software to create a relationship map for the novel's characters in Find Your Karass.
On the same day, students will also use the Internet to find old news articles from the day the atomic bomb fell on Hiroshima.
On Day 3, students will use the Internet to find Bokonon's Calypsos, and may also choose to find lyrics from non-fictional calypso music. For that day's McCarthyism activity, incorporate clips from video or audio documentaries or news footage as appropriate.
