Study Objectives

If all of the elements of this lesson plan are employed, students will develop the following powers, skills, and understanding:

    Students will examine the role of art as a form of protest.

    Students will explore dictatorships throughout history, with a focus on Augusto Pinochet.

  3. 3

    Students will discuss issues of complacency from those in power as others below them suffer.

  4. 4

    Students will explore the role religious institutions play in protesting (or abetting) those in political power.
