Brothers on Three: A True Story of Family, Resistance, and Hope Irony

The satire of joining college

Basketball is a gateway ticket to joining college for the students from the Reservation. Ironically, Will and Phil are so attached to their families and the support they get from the community than going to college. According to Will and Phil, going to college means separation from their families and the community they are part of. Consequently, the motivation for these boys and other teammates to win the championships is unpredictable.

The irony of Montana

Despite being a small country, the Reservation leads to suicide cases than any other part of the nation. The leading factors to suicide include bullying, loneliness and teenage heartbreaks. Ironically, most people in the Reservation are related by blood, and the readers fail to understand how victimization and solitude creep in to cause the mayhem of perversity.

The championships

Despite the communal spirit and support that Arlee Warriors received, no one was prepared that it was going to win the state championships. Additionally, towards the championships, the team experienced injuries and intense pressure. Despite all these challenges, Arlee Warriors emerged victoriously, bringing home the championship trophy.

The irony basketball

The dramatic satire in Arlee Warriors' championships is that focus is majorly directed to two stars, Phil and Will. Ironically, these two stars are cousins and the rest of the team is considered as supporting cast. Therefore, pressure is mounted on Phil and his cousin, Will to deliver the win to the Reservation for the first time in history
