Borne Irony

Borne Irony

The paradox of Mord

The central paradox in the entire text is Mord’s ability to shed food to residents of the city unwillingly. The city people hate Mord because he kills them, but they also love him because he sheds a lot of food when he is making supplies. Therefore, Mord is a blessing to the city dwellers despite being a ruthless killer in disguise.

The satire of Wick

Wick has been Rachel's boyfriend for a long time, and they work closely to have significant influence in town. Wick warns Rachel that Borne is a dangerous creature most of the time, but Rachel refuses to agree because she has started falling in love with Borne. For instance, Borne protects Rachel and gives her company at all times. Paradoxically, Wick is a biological creature engineered by the Biotech Company. Therefore, Wick knows that Borne is a biological organism that can transform itself into different shapes.

The irony of victory

The Magician is the most feared individual who controls the city working alongside Mord and other dangerous organisms that influence decisions. The Magician wants to eliminate all her competitors, including Wick and Borne. Ironically, Borne transforms into a sea–like creature and consumes Mord. Similarly, Borne helps Rachel defeat the Magician and is declared the figure mother of the nation.
