Objective:

Identify and reflect on the ethical considerations raised by the text thus far.

Common Core Standards:

Structure:

Part 1: Ask students to brainstorm the topics that have come up in the text so far regarding ethics. The intention of this activity is critically evaluate the messages in the book and give students an opportunity to voice any discomfort they have with any of the teachings.

Some topics that might come up:

• War/fighting
• What is one's duty?
• Importance of asking questions and examining doubts.
