Michèle Marineau is a Montreal-born Canadian writer, animator, and translator. She studied medicine, art history, and translation at the Université de Montréal, later working as a freelance editor for ten years before becoming a novelist. Her novels have received the Governor General's Literary Award and the Governor General's Award for French-language literature. She is married to fellow Quebecois writer François Gravel.
