    Aristotle's complaint about The Republic comes down to the idea of private property. Do you agree that private property is better than public property? Can you give a modern example to back up your claims?

    For Aristotle, private property creates more balance within a community and better care for property. If students argue that the protection of private property is bad, or that property should be equally distributed among citizens, they should also address Aristotle's concerns about balance. Is there less factionalism and more peace in the communities students describe?
