The Nicomachean Ethics is one of the most influential works of political and moral philosophy, as its companion piece, Politics. Although not considered to be as influential, the Posterior Analytics section of the Organon and the Eudemian Ethics contain more of Aristotle’s moral philosophy. Much of Aristotle’s thought is created in response to that of his teacher Plato, particularly the ideas in The Republic and The Apology.
